After determining on arrival last night that the camp hosts vibe was not to my liking (not Wolf Creek scary or dangerous, just dirty old man icky 😳😬) I was all set for a quick getaway this morning & hit the road by 6.30am. (After rousing Miss Hazel from the comfort of the hairy blanket) We made the short drive to Red Cliff Lookout where lemon water was had & coffee was made to drink while overlooking the ‘Red Cliff’
My regular slow morning routine of exercise, face washing & hair brushing has been thrown out the window with all the ‘excitement’ of the past few days (it’s been over 2 days since I’ve had a brush through my hair 🤪) but I’m all set to reinstate that tomorrow as we have settled back into our regular ‘no drama’ programming.
Off we roll towards Echuca with Coaster Karaoke & Rose Betts Radio today’s tunes of choice.
First stop Swan Hill where we went for a walk along the river & Hazel ended up belly deep in the mud whilst taking a drink from the murky Murray.
Mmmmmm…. She’s gonna want to sleep with me tonight… light bulb moment💡… I grab the submersible pump shower head & we have a dog wash in the park. One clean dog!!! Yay!!!
Back on the road, stopping at Lake Boga to check out some silo art, I jump out of Beryl & get smashed with a massive gust of VERY dusty wind. I’m feeling very gritty & can feel my sinuses filling with more & more dust as every day passes. I’m pretty sure I’d be a medal contender in a biggest booger competition right about now.
Onwards we head for the last leg of the day, landing in Echuca around lunchtime. What a cracker little town. Great vibe with a vibrant main street. I officially feel like the reset button has been hit.
Lunch in the park before taking a wander up the main street, popping in to Jacks House of Crystals & picking up a sage stick to sage any remaining bad mechanical juju out of Beryls belly & wheel arches.
Then it was off to our campsite for the night. $10 a night gets us bins, water & a dump point at the rotary RV park. We scored a spot well away from everyone else which makes me happy 😃
Beryl has been saged & a quiet drink under the tree has been enjoyed.
Phone call had to organise a catch-up with Uncle Dean in Albury where I’ll also get to see my 27 year baby boy 🥰 Can’t wait!!!!
Next on the agenda for today is dinner, a sponge bath & start plotting my next route & fuel stops.
It feels great to be back on track energetically 🧡
