‘West to East Adventure 2024’ - Renmark

With great excitement & optimism we were up nice an early, coffee’d, walked, dishes done, 4 maxibon poo had (grateful for campsite loo) & we were into town, sitting in the car park of tyre power awaiting the arrival of our rubber ring god to appear.

They didn’t have my size bus shoes in stock so we’ve had to stay an extra night & wait for them to arrive tomorrow. (We’ll be back on their doorstep at 8am in the morning)

It’s turned out to be of no inconvenience at all & Renmark is a beautiful spot to get ‘stuck’. Hazel & I went for a wander through town & scored 2 pairs of jeans from an op shop for $8. Bargain!!

Having spotted a super cheap autos in town I decided I’d have a crack at fixing my ‘not working’ brake light. Out came the manual, out came the blown globe, off to super cheap to buy a replacement, back to the bus, put it in and…. Still not working. 🙄 Enter face of much disappointment. Moreso that I wasn’t able to be my own hero today than the fact my brake lights still not working 😆

I booked us into a caravan park for the night & on the way stopped into a shopping centre to grab some more veges. Upon spotting a Big W, I had the overwhelming urge to go in despite not needing a single thing. I wonder if it’s a common ‘I’ve just crossed the nullarbor & have hit the holy grail of shopping’ compulsion. Anywho…. I stayed strong & didn’t go in!

Arriving at the Caravan Park around lunchtime, I set up, put some washing on, had some lunch & did a clients payrun. I stupidly put something in the washing machine that ended up spewing fluff all over my favourite cheapshit green cardigan 🙄 So I spent a good hour sitting in the sun picking that off 🤪

Hazel & I went for a wander along the river & thru the nature reserve before coming back to camp where I refilled my water tank (realising I’d left my tap fitting in Kimba 🤪) & checking Beryls oil & water. She was still perfectly lubed but a bit thirsty.
